Renew and Enhance your walkways and pathways

A pathway my cover a small amount of area but can make a big statement on the curb appeal of your landscape. Having a path going straight may be functional but adding a curve or an elevation change can really make a statement.

With so many options for material it can hard to decide whether you should use concrete, natural stone, pavers, or maybe a crushed rock. You may want to use a combination of any of these to create the desired look.

Adding a border to to your path will help give another visual element to the pathway. Placement of boulders, beds, plants, or another colored medium. Making sure the correct sub base and drainage is done properly will help the pathway stand up to all weather conditions.

Let us build that walkway or path that will give your landscape the look you have imagined.

Why Use Concrete Pavers to enhance your home and backyard

Driveways or parking areas built with concrete pavers will give you a lifetime of beauty with limited maintenance. Concrete pavers are made to a higher standard for strength, pressure, and consistency than standard poured concrete slabs. What you lay concrete pavers on is as important as paver design or paver layout. It is crucial to have a well constructed base with the correct materials, compaction, drainage, and grade for your specific area.

Many questions people have about pavers are cost per square foot, maintenance, style, pattern, and thickness. It is not practical to give a price per square foot on most concrete paver projects. Paver cost in its self varies due to type, style, color, thickness, and availability. Soil type and amount of material needed to excavate and construct a solid base to hold the pavers. Access and location are other factors considered in build costs. Design and pattern of the project along with amount of cutting required will be all figured into the project costs.

Some concrete pavers are designed to be laid in a certain pattern while others pavers can be placed in a variety of patterns. The pattern will be limited to the application of the project. Popular patterns include 45 degree herringbone, 90 degree herringbone, running bond, stacked bond, T pattern, or random.

Paving Stone Quality & Craftsmanship - It Matters

Having a quality edge restraint is another key factor in keeping concrete pavers in place. There are a variety of options to achieve this from concrete, plastic, aluminum, or metal. Most edge restraints are hidden however the design may incorporate a visible restraint such as a concrete curb.

Putting together all of these factors will help you create a well constructed paver project to enjoy and appreciate for years.

Whether you’re moving into a brand new home or just ready for a backyard makeover, a professional landscape designer will be able to help you determine what size, shape and style of patio that best suits your needs.
